This pub has been taken over by a team of Ex-Gurkhas and what a wonderful change they've made. It's now a pub (and restaurant) that you'd be happy taking your mother to. Beautiful Gurkha (Nepalese) food, decent beer and a comfortable atmosphere. The pub operates with a bar in one half, and the restaurant in the other, so you're very welcome to stop for just a beer. Highly recommended, just what the town needs. petergoesrock - 18 Nov 2010 16:38 |
Ok, I gave it a try. Beer was good, as were the staff. Pub where everyone is either round the pool table, or sitting at the bar petergoesrock - 14 Sep 2009 14:48 |
Reopen and refurbed. No longer called the 'Outback' either. Clearly a lot of effort going on, haven't had the chance to try yet petergoesrock - 29 Jun 2009 15:02 |
Large sign on building saying 'Lease this pub' petergoesrock - 16 Apr 2007 10:45 |
Ok, in September Mike and Barb came back. And left again. Now in the hands of Paul the holding company landlord. Awaiting refurb in May 2007. anonymous - 18 Dec 2006 19:50 |
