I found myself with half an hour to kill in this sleepy village where the one shop closes unfeasibly early and had the misfortune to spend them in this mediocre establishment - a pretty quintessential representation of the Greene King oeuvre. I don't really need to describe it as you'll all have been to the same pub a million times. BoehmBawerk - 25 Jun 2012 20:39 |
Thought I would give this place another chance as I was back in the area. Went in there last saturday night for a pint and a game of pool. After being in there for 10 minutes a fight broke out between a couple of local chav types resulting in one of them getting knocked out!! Lovely!!! So much for getting rid of the local idiots, there still seems to be plenty in there. Avoid!!!!!!! winstone - 17 Jul 2009 14:18 |
Food has improved now a really good choice especially with the specials. We have been there quite a few times on a friday for their fresh fish menu. Alot of the people that use to go there and cause trouble dont seem to be there i heard the new manager had barred them recently. Good atmosphere and there are now live bands advertised to play there laureneve - 3 Mar 2009 16:00 |
Quite a nice pub, went in there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The decor is pleasant enough. Only ale is green king and Abbot ale!!! Would be nice to have a guest ale on. Some of the locals are interesting. Got chatting to a bloke called D, he spends most of his life in there. He certainly has a story or 2 to tell!! You get a lot of under age drinkers in there and best to avoid on a Friday night as you might disturb the drug dealing in the tiolets. Otherwise not too bad at all really winstone - 7 Jan 2009 11:57 |
