In our opinion the best (although even this is limited) cask ale choice in Hythe. Bowmans Swift One,Flack Manor Double Drop and Piddle Bent Copper st our visit. Steamer1 - 9 Apr 2017 16:11 |
This pub offers good beer which attracts both locals and visitors alike - very convenient for the Hythe Pier Tramway if you come over on the ferry from Southampton. Located in what looks like a former Victorian factory unfortunately it seems to be a victim of it's own success - on our last visit the place was very full with no tables available to sit down and eat and it was too cold to sit outside so sadly they lost our custom on that occasion. However well worth a try if you can get in the door and find a table! manx_888 - 29 Sep 2015 00:13 |
Have tried the food since our last visit, it's good pub grub at a most reasonable price. The ales are well kept and the staff are most agreeable, a pub that caters for both drinkers and diners Feed - 15 Mar 2015 10:23 |
Three beers on the handles - I had Red Ember which was excellent. There was another local ale besides the mainstream offering as well, but I didn't try it. A pleasant atmosphere, good service, food looked to be most agreeable, an outside smokers area, it's somewhere I'd be happy to return to. Feed - 17 Nov 2010 23:11 |
Whenever i go visit my grandad we always go in for a couple of pints and as the youngest of 7 grand kids he always treats me to a meal and what value for money you get. The menu is good pub grub and at a good price and of the best quality! Really recommend the Thai curry, full of flavour and will need a good swig of beer if you have the hot. Staff are fantastic, it's good when someone walks into the pub and the staff m ake you feel at home and welcome. And know you by your 1st name and what your having. Always love going there, 10/10 britghtonfoodie - 13 Oct 2008 00:07 |
