Closed again - for good, it seems. tradervic - 9 Jun 2020 19:06 |
The rose hill opened again this Friday. It looks great inside and had a wander full atmosphere. They have real ale and guines and of course lager and spirits. Definitely worth a visit. There are 3 areas to sit in all very different and it has outdoor seating out the back and at the front. Definitely a hidden gem just off London road. I believe that they will be serving food in the near future too Jonathan1234567 - 10 Nov 2013 19:57 |
No ale, I could only see two handpumps in the upper bar, both empty, unlike the last time I was there, I'm sure there was four in each bar back then, was told something about not much call for it, but I was offered a bottle of typical Asda or Coop ale which I refused of course. Needless to say, wont be back. RobinDay - 16 Jun 2013 12:43 |
Great bar under it's new incarnation as the 'jamaica inn'. Harveys and doom bar plus a guest ale, plus some interesting bottles of ale and lots of rum. As suggested by the name the place now has a jamaican theme. A refreshing change from the samey samey pubs you see everywhere now. hopeNfaith - 29 Nov 2012 13:36 |
I'm not a regular, but when I popped in a while back they had no draught beer due to a "dispute with the brewery"! However, the bottled ale was fine and reasonably priced. I don't know why bottles are regarded as second rate. Uncle_Dunkel - 18 Oct 2012 15:42 |
