Excellent pub. At least 3 real ales on at all times. Theakstons and 2 Black Sheep. The Black Sheep is the best pint of Black Sheep outside of the brewery. Has a small 'tap room/games room' with a dartboard and this room is actually on consecrated ground. Darts and Dominoes on Monday nights, jamming session Thursday nights, Quiz Sunday nights. Landlord and Landlady (David & Hilary) two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. If your near then go. OneMoreSheep - 14 Nov 2007 13:19 |

Mmm nice cosy pub, nice ales with guests too. I'm always cold in this pub though, think it's haunted! Yes, the mural, it's very clever, good idea but reminds me of a youth club's decor. Worth a visit though! Gillybean - 20 Oct 2006 14:58 |
Three excellent real ales, Black Sheep and Tetley Bitters regular, guest often from small local brewers. Friendly landlord, landlady and bar staff. Regular folk and jam music sessions. Mural in back room depicting history of Thornhill has to be seen to be believed. Worth a visit for this alone. Alan Kilburn - [email protected] - 29 Sep 2005 12:47 |
