Good sized, busy pub situated on the main A38 south of Bristol. Inside is fairly traditional with a L-shape lounge bar area and a conservatory at the back. Unusually for a pub theres a refrigerated counter displaying their range of deserts. Large garden at the back with good views up the slopes towards Dundry. Also a small patio area and a kids climbing frame/slider. Beers on this occasion were Bass, Courage Best, Brains SA and Rev. James. Ciders were Blackthorn and Stowford Press. decent enough pint of Bass, outside seating patio, and a good stop off for the airport, 8/10 fat_beer_badger - 19 Nov 2007 13:37 |
Very well presented pub and well maintained. Great parking facilities and a good location. Goo selection of beers. Bar staff are friendly. Customers seem rather snobby and stuck up. I didn't like the atmosphere. People stil conversed, but i got the impression because i am young i wasn't welcome. Good real ales though. If you're an older person who is respectable and doesn't mind quite overpriced drinks then this is for you. Bazmatti - 9 May 2007 22:28 |
