Awful pretentious chav wannabe haunt charging central London prices because there are no other pubs around. All the handpumps were turned round so had the Camden IPA (5.55 a pop)

The drinks are pricey but there is very little pub competition in Radlett. However its a nice place and the staff are good. The barman called Pete is an absolute star and sets the standard against which all other bar staff should be measured. Every pub should have a 'Pete'.

Friendly welcoming atmosphere, good helpful staff - very nice for a post-work pint.

Agree with the comments on it being a little pricey however!

Convenient for the station, and well worth a visit all in all.

I popped back to the Red Lion with family this weekend and was welcomed by a wonderful roaring fire which was needed as it was a very cold day.

There was 5 of us and 2 large dogs. We were all made welcome and they provided water and lots of fuss for the dogs. 2 of our party were vegetarian and were happy with the choices and the rest of us had either burger, steak or pie.

The service at the bar was friendly and fast and the food was great. The burger was fantastic and was one of the best burgers I've had. My brother had the pie and said it was fabulous.

We were there for nearly 3 hours and the pub was fairly quiet to start but got quite busy. My brothers tried the real ale and said it was very good.

This is one of my favourite pubs and it keeps on getting better. Great food and service, dog friendly and a real fire - perfect!

Ive just been back to the newly spruced up Red Lion and its great! One thing I loved was the lampshades... about 30 different styles. Unusual and not the standard run of your mill pub make over.

The new decor is quirky and fun and I like that they've opened it all up. I stayed for a meal - only just though, as it was so busy on Sunday. I had the traditional roast and it was lovely - came with a whopping big proper Yorkshire Pudding and lovely gravy.

They must have a new chef as there was lots of lovely dessert choices but no chocolate! Come on - give us some chocolate puddings! My sister had the risotto and said it was great. I booked for Mothers Day and it was nearly full already.

The Manager is the same and even though they were busy, I got good service.
