Been in twice recently. Had 2 excellent sandwiches on both occasions.first time with French fries. Second time with crisps. Would go again forestwood - 12 Mar 2017 11:02 |
One Ringwood beer on (Best) that tasted OK. Quite why this pub only has one decent ale on I'll never fathom out. Prime walking country, the Greensand Way on its doorstep and the opportunity to be part of a Real Ale Trail from Haslemere to Churt or Thursley. Is Surrey so wine-keen these days? Haslemere and Hindhead certainly seem to be behind the times. There isn't one truly decent pub around although the 'Spoons The Swan is passable to be fair. Churt and Thursley are the nearest best bets. But go in and ask enough and they may just start putting them on, you never know. The bar area itself is small but pleasant enough. pkrp - 15 Jun 2014 21:24 |
Ringwood beer and Hobgoblin beer. Good pub in good location. EyeOfTheTigerBeer - 30 Sep 2012 13:59 |
Dark and dingy decor. Really needs a refurbishment. 2 Ringwood beers. Not brilliantly kept. Shocking, miserable service. Somewhere kept alive by the location, not the quality. jkbayley - 8 Jan 2012 14:22 |
Ridiculously understaffed. Ringwood bitter was off so had ice cold Hobgoblin. That was next to go off leaving Oxford Gold. Waited 15 minutes at the unmanned bar to get served and got fed up so when someone finally appeared just paid and left instead. Food was good though apart from the burger that was served with stilton instead of the advertised cheddar. dave. - 2 Jan 2010 08:49 |
