| A chance stop-by, late on a Sunday evening showed this to be a pleasant and unpretentious small pub. The local Poker evening was in session with it's accompanying food for the players, creating a garlic-bread-scented ambiance which is not for the weak of stomach! The beers appear to be the current fad of a selection of glitzy-looking lad's lagers on shiny chrome taps, no hand-pumped ale in evidence. Prices are very reasonable for the area, almost in competition with the nearby Weatherspoon's. Menu appeared average, unpredictable pub grub, albeit at lower than expected prices. Interior generally of the "comfy home" style rather then any fake olde-worldy rubbish, was clean and very relaxing. Juke box was playing some good music from a wide range, and not surprisingly nobody was watching the sport on either of the 2 big screens. Nice outdoors choice of beer garden/terrace (dodgy decking, beware if you are in heels!) or street-side tables.
