Now called the Little Grosvenor. It was absolutely packed on Thursday at mid-day, and the 1 barmaid was more interested in chatting with her mates than serving me, so I left without buying a drink. They sell traditional rough cider, which is very good. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming to strangers, with more than a hint of potential violence. waliser - 2 Oct 2015 09:26 |
Locals only. Didn't even have the pleasure of being stared at once inside; they wouldn't let us in! Door locked at 10.50pm on a Friday night, full of grey heads, shake of the head by mine host. curioushistory - 26 Jan 2012 11:54 |

Another interesting traditional boozer in the Southville/Bedminster area. Taunton traditional cider and draught Bass . Rough and ready, full of colourful locals. schaf - 23 Jun 2010 16:05 |
A basic, no frills boozer located on the corner next to Asdas car park. The front bar is quite small with limited seating, and theres a slightly larger rear bar that had a juke box playing music slightly too loudly. Theres also a small courtyard garden at the back of the pub. Actually on second thoughts, calling it a courtyard garden may be a bit generous, its more of an alleyway strewn with empty plastic Natch bottles. A classy establishment. Punters seemed friendly enough though, one of whom was particularly keen to voice his frustrations on the current immigration policy. Beers on tap were Bass and Courage Best. Good choice of ciders with Bulmers, Blackthorn, Natch and Taunton Traditional. Blackthorn - 11 Jun 2010 10:02 |
