Went to this place for lunch (not for the first time) and we found the food to be dreadful and the lady who served us rude. The fish & chips were OK (no mushy peas) but the liver and bacon was truly shocking - bacon barely cooked, raw cabbage, and strange tasting liver too!! I truly don't know how they can justify their steepish prices. The one good thing to be said for this place is the lovely rural location and large family garden area. Will not return! trottis - 16 Aug 2012 16:59 |
Large open space with plenty of parking, outside space and large interior. Nice friendly staff who were quick to serve. I had a pint of Tribute which although a reasonable price was very poor, shame as this will automatically make this a pub I will not return to. ThePubber - 26 Jul 2012 20:55 |
food was very nice but did not like the fact that there was no menu so for the starters and puddings the waitress had to tell you what there was but yo had no idea of prices and for the man meals they were written on a black board in the main bar so you had to leave your table to look at the menu. woman1 - 22 Apr 2012 06:26 |
Came to tally ho as it was recommended by a friend so thought we would pop in for lunch. The space outside of the pub is immense, with plenty of grass and some kids climbing frame. Anyways the staff was really friendly and we ordered lunch consisting of tally Burger and a home cooked Ham ploughmans. To our dissapointment the food was not all that nice, although looking nice the Ham was not home cooked and was clearly out of a packet. And the Burger was swallowed. Up by a big bun and was overcooked and was more like one of them grill steaks rather than a Burger also the homemade coleslaw was missing from the Burger. After we left we was glad we didn't try anything from the main menu as we thoughtit.may of been a let down. boam - 4 May 2011 19:28 |
We turned up at the Tally Ho pub while out walking with family. Three of us had a fantastic Sunday lunch, one person having the fish option, with drinks. The service was excellent and very friendly, with the staff being very helpful. It was a bit expensive, but plenty to eat. Although it wasn't on our original route, we were very pleased about the overall service. Even the locals wished us well when leaving. DJJP48 - 24 Jul 2008 19:20 |
