Well, it's still a good pub and deserves another review. This is a real community pub and the licensee keeps an excellent cellar. Range of wines is good in terms of choice, quality and value. Food is good and live music midweek very acceptable. The olde world atmosphere of the lounge and snug make this a cosy night out with friends, especially if the fire is lit. anonymous - 27 May 2007 16:27 |
Lunchtime visit, but quite busy. Cracking 16th century building, cheap, imaginative food and a decent pint. Will visit again. voted 9 jimbosmith - 6 Oct 2005 17:08 |
A listed building, The Greyhound is thought to have once been Penkhull's courthouse. Received negative publicity in the late-1990s when new management took over, but has improved again now he's left. simonpalmer - 13 Apr 2005 17:22 |
