Excellent pub with a great landlord. Beer brilliantly kept. Was in on a match day and although it's a SCFC pub, it didn't seem rowdy or hostile. Bus to the match from the car park and the sweepstake were a great touch. Next time I make it to the Britannia, this place is a must. thehonesttruth - 8 Nov 2015 20:57 |
Still keeps its Vistorian look which is great. Bar staff can sometimes be a little lacking in their interest in customer service, though. anonymous - 27 May 2007 16:35 |
Typical large Victorian street corner pub. Lovely original tiles in the entrance. Lunchtime visit, but the bar staff where friendly and the beer good. Voted 8 jimbosmith - 6 Oct 2005 17:06 |
Good pub, staple of Penkhull life for many years. Service is sometimes a little slow due to staffing issues, but probably the best pub in Penkhull. simonpalmer - 13 Apr 2005 17:24 |
