Very nice corner pub away from the main tourist area of Ely. Good range of Adnams' ales. Check on opening times before making a special trip. Aztecgoat - 12 Jul 2015 09:14 |
Had a pint of Milton Sparta here- it was okay. anonymous - 15 Dec 2013 15:50 |
Unpromising from the outside - looks like a private, rather than a public house - but things improve when you get inside. The bar is long and wooden-floored and has an eccentric collection of furniture including what looks like a dentist's chair. Had a couple of pints of Pegasus and one of Broadside - all perfectly poured by the two young barmaids who dealt brilliantly with a very busy bar. Kenny260556 - 18 Sep 2013 21:53 |
Unchanged in the 5 years since my last visit (out of the Beer Guide before then). The Broadside was excellent, the pub civilized and relaxing, but the lack of food, restricted opening and relatively plain beer range are reasons I don't visit as often as the beer quality warrant. Worth a trip. mtaylor40 - 25 Mar 2012 22:35 |
Four ales to choose from including Woodfords Wherry. I had a pint of Shepherd Neame's Spitfire which was fine. A pleasant pub. dred_scott - 11 Mar 2012 10:59 |
