Sadly disappointed here by poor beer quality which I guess shouldn't happen at a cask masque registered place. There were 3 ales on, Doomed beer I think, Triple f Alton Pride and Titanic White Star. We had the latter and it was hazy/cloudy and tasted off. We should have taken it back but we were in a hurry so persevered. I would have thought a CM pub shouldn't have served it in that condition. Inane conversation going on at the bar which would have driven us insane if we'd stayed but the beer quality ensured we didn't. Steamer1 - 3 Nov 2013 22:04 |
If you enjoy being confronted by a large barking, snapping dog when you enter a pub, then this is the place for you. Otherwise it should be avoided. AndrewW - 18 Dec 2012 08:12 |
since sheryll and richard moved into this pub they have transformed it out of recognition. The real ales are in first class order, the limited menu is very good value and the bars and garden areas are excellent. This pub is well worth a visit on your own, with your partner or the whole family.Give it a try. amdrinker - 25 May 2011 13:17 |
Not been in this pub since the chinaman ran it. what a difference. staff were amiable, snacks enjoyable, decor very nice. Now the beer.Good selection but much to cold.Even the real ales are put through the chiller, otherwise all ok.Worth a return call when back in the area.amdrinker amdrinker - 29 May 2009 12:20 |
