Closed for good as the Auld Hole. Seems to being renovated as a fancy wine / cocktail bar. called 18 something or other. Wonder how long it will last. Summer maybe, winter no way. droggs - 25 Mar 2017 19:00 |
Very nice pub with friendly staff. Did not see any real ales but the keg beer were good. I was recommended to try the food by the locals. Excellent. On my two week visit to the area meeting an old buddy this was the best food in the area bar none. Todrungren - 20 Oct 2016 23:23 |
Pub looks so much better now it has been decorated and new owners have taken over. Used to be a much loved pub but now the staff let it down. The "gruesome twosome" as they are locally known are the most bitter, inbred and hated family in town and will refuse to serve people for personal reasons. The majority of regular clients that used to frequent the pub now refuse to go due to the pair of barmaids serving most nights - terrible service and appalling attitude from them. When they aren't working; ideal pub for a good night. Hillbilly1990 - 1 Feb 2014 15:46 |
Under new management and therefore the place is slowly decending back to what it was like 3 years ago. Poor staff who prefer to talk to their mates rather than serve customers. New clientele leave alot to be desired. The beer is still pretty good but if you want food check beforehand whether there is any available. Despite advertising"all day food" the day I went in they stopped serving at 4.30pm despite customers asking for food. droggs - 26 May 2010 11:15 |
since i was born i have always been in this pub.this is the best pub in lithgae, the rest dont have the standard that this pub has.the meals r gr8, it has been done up nicely but i aint impressed that they changed the way the name was spelt.apart from that i cannot fault this pub, the bar staff r brilliant and help make the pub more like a homly place with there positive attitudes and friendliness , oh and 1 last thing the drink is cheap aswell. wee_shaz_283 - 17 Oct 2007 20:21 |
