Visited their beer festival 24 may. BF run the way a proper one should be. Lovely selection of beers and ciders, good tasting notes and offered a proper glass in preference to a plastic one. Pub landlord and landlady very welcoming. A lovely rural pub with clearly well kept beer. Food also looked excellent. This is clearly a great find and we would strongly recommend it. samuk - 25 May 2015 11:37 |
Visited here whilst staying at Blyth View - a half hour walk across fields but well worth it. The food was some of the best I've had in any pub or restaurant - simple yet perfectly prepared, unlike a lot of the more touristy places nearby. Unusually for an Adnams tied house they had a guest beer, and their ambition is to run the place as a free house. The staff and landlady were genuinely friendly and the place was popular with locals and tourists alike. Do try this one - they'll even let you camp there for free! ericonabike - 31 Jul 2010 19:23 |
29 August evening visit. Clean Pub. Good Toilets. Offerings: Adnams Bitter 2.60, Explorer 2.85 and Broadside at 2.95. Small Bar area is is bit tight. A small adjoining room is kept as a separate eating area. Tasted Ad Biiter - very nice condition. Explorer OK, but losing fizz. There is a garden with tables, but not useful this late in the year as it was already dardk when we arrived. Try it on the longest day.... BStickla - 30 Aug 2007 15:58 |
