Busy, ridiculously so at times. Decent if rowdy pub, suitably lairy on a Saturday afternoon. Keen barstaff, almost exclusively Latvian, though today I couldn’t get served despite there being no one else waiting. Toilets upstairs. Malcoholist - 13 May 2018 21:10 |
Excellent back street working man's boozer expertly ran by Louise and her superb bar staff, who make every visit a memorable one. atkinson - 8 Feb 2012 22:42 |
A pub with decent real ales on and pleasant enough inside, all toilets upstairs so not disabled friendly. A real jukebox (a rearity these days) and prices are reasonable during the day, but beware the prices all go up by 1 in the evening! The punters are a bit rough and ready and some swear a lot and can spoil your visit if you take any notice of them. Toilets ok and staff ok, so worth a visit. City centre location, no car park. One of the oldest pubs in Hull. noggin46 - 27 May 2011 17:10 |
Unremarkable street corner pub. Recently taken over but a bit isolated despite old town location. No peanuts when I went....... Malcoholist - 9 Jun 2010 11:05 |
Average pub. Went in on an admittedly quiet Saturday tea time owing to the adverse weather, but won't be scurrying back. willesden_seadog - 11 Jan 2010 20:10 |
