Lovely traditional pub, nice staff. Friendly customers. Find and enjoy. rainbowian - 14 Jun 2013 12:03 |
This is a gem of a little back street boozer just off the main drag in Hove. About 14/18 other punters in last Saturday afternoon made the place seem full. Only 2 hand pulls with only Harveys BB on offer for £3.50 a pint - very nice too. There is some fairly loud music playing and a TV showing GP practice. bjbrummiejohn - 10 Jun 2013 08:35 |
Very friendly little local tucked away off Western Road just over the border in Hove. Cosy and characterful, with an excellent pint of Harvey's. Be prepared to end up in a conversation with total strangers - one night I popped in with a friend and everyone there had a fierce debate about which actress played Miss Marple the best. It's Margaret Rutherford, of course. melita666 - 15 Nov 2012 01:53 |
Without doubt, this is a superb pub with a 50/50 mix of gay and straight fraternities. All of the staff, bar none are pleasant and efficient. Sue, the landlady is a very nice easy going person as is her husband Mike. The place is clean and very friendly to all walks of life. Every customer is on the same level and treated with courtesy at all times. There is no loud music to blast you off the planet either. The beer is always of fine quality and at reasonable prices. Because of the atmosphere that the pub generates from the staff and the customers it can get very busy on some occasions right out of the blue. It seems that all one has to do is smile and you are treated as a friend instantly. Chas. chaschas - 16 Jul 2012 21:38 |
