Quick update...The Green Room have HD large screens, with fantastic picture quality and they turn the sound up high, making it the perfect pub to watch the Saturday evening Premiership game after another depressing afternoon down Loftus Road especially as they serve decent burgers tim.charles - 20 Feb 2010 06:56 |
Recently bought by Matt Jacomb, has sepnt 500k on refurb, rebranded and now called THE GREEN ROOM Has American pool, table football, large projector screens for sports. Usual pub prices. From the pretentious to unpretentios in 1 month & 500 big ones! tim.charles - 29 Jan 2009 09:03 |

I absolutely loved this place. As you approach the entrance to the BBG it is lit with sparkling fairy lights which lead to a rather fetching french-windowed establishment, tucked away from the bustle of Goldhawk Road. It is really well decorated, with an infinite bar on one side, separated by a trelaced dining area. The menu here is varied and interesting. There is also a rather impressive selection of wines, especially if you like your French reds like me...although some of my usual drinks did tend to be on the expensive side. I would definitely recommend the veal if available, and my date and I definitely agreed that the chocolate brownie was to die for. It seriously was the best chocolate dessert I have ever had in an a la carte restaurant...so the BBG is definitely worth a visit just for that! After our meal we made our way to the bar area on the other side and tried out the usual cocktails...mine being a(few) strawberry dacquiri. The bar staff were lovely (we recommend a certain "Bobby Dazzler") and made cocktails on demand. We ended up staying until closing time (1.30am) without even realising where the time had gone! A truly enjoyable evening and somewhere I will definitely be paying a visit in the near future! Boschgal - 13 Feb 2007 15:34 |
Poncy.Only go here if you think you're rich and like flapping around with your life savings in your wallet!I've been to this bar 3 or 4 times and every single time I've been there it's been quite empty apart from a group or two of 40-something men with beers sitting in the corner oggling anything that resembles a young female.Great atmosphere! servemenow - 5 May 2006 13:31 |
