Although there are a few bar stools, this is definitely a dining pub with its AA rosette. The Butty Bach was a little flat and not as good an offering as could be found in the nearby much less sophisticated Sun Inn. Ludlow Gold was the other ale on offer. Very good Sunday lunch with good service too (for what it is worth). paul_d102 - 12 Jan 2014 19:09 |
Not really a pub. Hotel-cum-restaurant. If you want a drink head for the Sun! dpaajones - 16 Nov 2013 15:46 |
Went for a meal here in the formal dining room with family and the food was excellent at a price commensurate with the quality. There is a bar serving a couple of real ales which were in very good condition. Seating for relaxing and/or drinking is also available at other areas including the garden. A well presented and upmarket hotel. Feed - 30 Jul 2012 10:47 |
Been here a few times since it re-opened and it looks very smart, although a bit bright on the lighting side. It could make it a little more intimate and warm by some more subtle lighting. Easten in the restaurant twice and once in the bar area. Food standard is very good, but it is a bit nouvelle cuisine - hungry when you've finished? pjames37 - 8 Jan 2012 18:01 |
What a difference two years makes!!!! Really friendly staff and a decent atmosphere. Haven't eaten there yet, but beer's good. jgreg - 8 Jan 2011 18:40 |
