Stayed nearby and visited this pub after looking at the good reviews. Totally agree, good beer, good food and pleasant staff. Will definitely go back! N.Barber2 - 2 Jul 2011 22:04 |
Well worth finding, tucked away near the airport in a picturesque village, very food orientated but the real ales are well kept, place was packed with diners, a nice pub bellevueace - 24 May 2011 23:36 |
Ate here recently (May 2011). The food was absolutely delicious, and reasonably priced (I particularly recommend the cheesecake!). The pub itself is a lovely old building in a very pretty village, although it is a bit out of the way. There's a reasonable sized beer garden and a selection of 3 ales IIRC. Staff were friendly with the exception of the bar lady who was a little bit frosty. . That notwithtanding, I would definitely recommend this pub, particularly if you're after food. Nice setting and lovely pub. Very popular and friendly. One big annoyance though. Why or why do pubs only offer children ice cream all the time when there are lovely desserts on the menu. Why can't they have apple pie, cheesecake, etc. Why can't a half portion be programmed into these computerised tills. My daughter was sick of being offered only ice cream all week. It was nice to see a pasta veg dish on the childrens menu though so well done with that one. jazzperc - 21 Jun 2009 22:04 |
