I will be avoiding Wadworth pubs in future. Had to send a pint back because it was off, and my partner's salad was sodden and wilting. My lunch of ham, egg and chips was godawful, frankly. The young barman was a true gent, but the manageress doesn't understand what makes a good 21st century pub experience. I suggest management visits a good pub, there are, thankfully, plenty around. i only rate this pub as a 4 because when i ordered a pint of lager, it was served up with a 15mm head of froth. well... as they were charging an arm and a leg for the pint, i requested that it be topped up. however i was summarily informed that the staff had been trained to serve it that way (surprise, surprise!) and that was that. it was reluctantly topped up only after i persisted... honestly ... you don't need to have to counter that attitude when dropping by for a pint! shallxr - 8 Nov 2013 10:12 |
Good renovation. Friendly and cheerful staff. Have been several times and could do with a bit more variation in menu but always tasty and well served. Good atmosphere, reasonable prices. Wiltshirefoodie - 13 Dec 2011 10:21 |
Why is this pub only rated a 5 ? . We visited this pub on a thurs night when they were fairly busy and could not fault the beer the food or the service, best pub i have been to in a long while, just wish it was closer as i would definetly become a regular. eltel - 25 Sep 2009 20:13 |
Have popped in here for a swift half while out cycling. Good seating outdoors. Fair beer selection. Not to keen on the refurb - too much polished pine, just personal preference - but it's all neat and tidy. MrBlue - 15 May 2009 14:07 |
