| As a new neighbour to this pub I was looking forward to somewhere old and cosy and to become a regular. Unfortunately in this respect it didn't fit the bill. It has a beautiful inglenook fireplace but nowhere comfy to sit around, just the dining tables and chairs everywhere. Not a bench set even. So it's not got the atmosphere it should by rights have. | Both beer and food are above average. However, to satisfy the resolute diner a separate food section needs to be established to help keep over jovial bar customers from interfering with those enjoying a nice quiet meal!
