Large st. austell brewery pub split into 2 halves, one side is more of a restaurant, while the other side is more pubby. (You can eat in both). can get very busy but also has a large beer garden on the harbour to escape to. Popped in here saturday night for a few pints of Korev, good atmosphere mix of locals, and visitors finishing their meals. saturday nights are quite loud as they have live music on in the bar. masetheace - 19 May 2015 21:32 |
Stayed in the hotel for a couple of nights. Lounge bar is more of a restaurant, but also has a busy public bar. Lovely pint of Trelawny and food was good and very reasonable. Friendly staff. All round nice place. captaineric - 22 Apr 2015 17:12 |
Exellent, I have been in this pub on and off over the summer, the food has always been good and the staff friendly, I like all the st austell ales but my favourite is the trellawny, it can be a bit busy at times and if you eat out on the harbour be very carefull of the gulls as I have seen them take one chaps gammon off his plate . Apart from that I would recomend this pub. seajay - 5 Oct 2013 18:32 |
Prime location on the harbour front and split into 2 halves,a more foody half and a bar which seemed to attract the younger element. Sadly like a few StAustell pubs we've visited the beer was pretty average and it's a shame that given they have no guest ales they don't stock their full range - no Proper Job which is by far my favourite of their beers. bromsgrovebeerboy - 14 Sep 2013 20:17 |
ale was very good - Trelawny and Tribute - pub pretty clean and staff were friendly - yes noisy - dunno if it was locals or pub crawls from Helston but they were just having a good time and no harm done. Food average/expensive for what it was. odbod - 12 Oct 2011 12:47 |
