Enjoyed a couple of pints of Guinness in here a couple of weeks ago. Current landlord is making a big effort by the lookings of things - a bit tatty around the edges but friendly enough. The food seems to have switched to a more value-based approach, i.e. 2.99 meals. Seeing as the Noah's Ark is closed (again), hopefully this pub can improve, offering a better selection of real ales, as when I was last in, there was either 0 or 1 (I can't remember). It shows sport now, principally football on many screens. Food is ok, but its main plus point is its size. Manages to retain a bit of a local feel despite high concentration of students (such as myself). ChrisP87 - 13 Jun 2008 14:14 |
This is a small and friendly pub situated in the heart of Sheffield's student resident area. It has no garden but offers spectacular views across some of the hills from the front. The food is very cheap (as you would expect in a heeavily student populated area) and tastes very good - good vegetarian options available. The only let-down is that it does not show any sport but for those who wish to eat/drink in such an environment this pub is ideal. Laura - 16 Jun 2005 16:14 |
