Very cheap place with good drinks deals. Pleasant inside but was ruined by overpowering football on everywhere with very loud commentary. Would maybe visit again though. 6/10 montie49 - 19 Aug 2018 12:52 |
Went here a couple of weeks a go whilst in Cornwall. Ok for a quick pint but not a pub I'd want to spend the evening in. Having said that Liskeard didn't seem blessed with too many of those type of places. Appeared to be very much a regulars pub with a line of customers sitting at the bar. Beer was fine, Skinners Betty Stoggs and St. Austell Tribute. outtamehead - 27 Jun 2010 10:23 |
Positive aspects: Mp3 jukebox with an outstanding selection of indie and alternative music; comfy sofas; pool tables; quiet on weekdays. Negative aspects: Aggressive bald men in combat trousers frequent the place; surly locals line the bar reading the free newspapers and making it difficult to order; the once-impressive range of independently brewed beers and ciders has been replaced by mass-produced chemical poison lagers. kid_b - 24 Sep 2006 18:54 |
I used to work here and always found it enjoyable although my colleague often put punters off their beer with her big mouth and stroppy attitude. Good entertainment on Thursday and Sunday nights. I recommend the Karaoke on every other Sunday. Packs out the pub and always raises a few laughs. Go along and see for yourself. Lora - 21 Mar 2006 20:38 |
