Pleasant, spacious and welcoming Everards pub in a quiet village. Lively enough, even at 5 p.m. on a Sunday. The Mild was off (and has been for some time, which would be my only gripe. The bitter is well kept. Regis - 31 Aug 2014 19:35 |
This is a good country inn which serves Everards beers (including Mild) and good food in a nicely looked after pub. On my last visit (Cossington open gardens 7/5/12) they also had Oakham ales J.H.B. (Jeffrey Hudson Bitter) on tap. Food is good, they tend to have themed nights (Fish, steak, pie etc...). Skittle alley still in use too (can also be hired for functions). Nice pub, but a little pricey! It's in a very well-to-do village though, so I'm sure the minted locals don't feel the pinch! Well worth a visit if you're in the area... the restaurant seems very popular as well. the_admiral - 5 Oct 2008 23:38 |
A friendly village local, this pub serves excellent beer. Despite being owned by the omnipresent (in leicestershire) Everards brewery, it manages to squeeze in some guest ales, which change on a regular basis and are always well kept. The bar staff are friendly, and have a good memory for faces and drinks! Probably my favourite watering hole in Leicestershire pubscouter - 13 Sep 2007 19:43 |
