Arrived at 1:30 on Sunday. Unfortunately, it was the day of the Leicester Marathon, so the pub was pretty busy, and the three young men doing front of house were on the bar, taking and delivering orders, etc. They explained that the kitchen was backed up with orders, and could n`t take further orders for about 20 minutes. I drank my Everards Tiger, which was good, and we were told that they had run out of roasts, so we ordered alternatives. Given how busy they were, the food arrived quickly, and was piping hot and tasty. Overall, the food and beer were good, and the staff were apologetic and attentive, the pub itself inviting and homely, so all in all, despite the problems, a good experience, and I shall visit again when I`m in Leicester. anarchobeer - 26 Oct 2014 18:27 |
Thought the Everards Flight of 3 1/3 Beers was very good . Standard Everards pub . Biffabacon - 15 Jul 2014 21:05 |
Very nice and all that but a bit....boring and feels as though it's been planned out within an inch of its life by suits. A good Everards range is on offer and my three beers was top notch, and it was pleasing to see other breweries' beers on, such as White Horses's Village Idiot. But I couldn't help feeling that this place lacked a bit of soul. plymouthpirate - 2 Dec 2013 22:02 |
This Everards pub has a fairly impressive exterior. But the interior is not quite so attractive. It is a single room with a mixture of booths, sofas and tables in an open area near the bar. The ale range was remarkably similar to the previous 2 Everards pubs we had been to and starts to get a little boring after a while - Everards Original, Tiger, Sunchaser, Beacon & Elixir & Ironbridge 48 Special West Coast IPA. The latter was on in all of our first 3 pubs, despite being a guest beer! Cider was Westons Traditional Scrumpy. Their Country Perry was also on. A little disappointed by the drinks range. But worth a try if you haven't been in any other Everards establishments. blue_scrumpy - 25 Jun 2012 21:17 |
Excellent food, incredibly tasty and huge portions. Had the burger, friend had nachos. They had the Everards range on, as well as Titanic Mild and a B&T beer. Attracts a discerning clientele, and has a good mixture of people from pensioners to students. dynamiteninja - 11 Jun 2011 09:42 |
