The pub is under new management and I feel this is the last chance for the pub to return to it's glory days. It's supporting this once great pub providing the new manager can keep the idiots away!! Rumpole - 26 Dec 2007 16:18 |
large and loud pub with cask Tetley. oftenscore6 - 1 Jul 2007 18:09 |
Someone has bought the lease on this pub! Why? I only hope that the standards of this pub improve drastically, as the beer has gone up a lot, and soft drinks are extortionate. Rumour has it that 29,000 was spent refurbishing the place - you can't tell from looking, apart from the painted brickwork. Beer not to my standard. Let's have a pub to be proud of - we've been waiting years! ginomendozauk - 24 May 2007 14:01 |
I used to work here for about 4 years, the regulars and the Management at the time was were amazing. Since I've left, all I've seen is the steady decline of this pub and all but the die hard regulars move to the Quarry, Moss Trouper and other pubs nearby. I firmly believe this is due to the way Allied Domeq (Calsberg-Tetley) has stifled the development of this pub. Given its position in the centre of Timperley, surely it's a prime candidate to be one of their "Big Steak" pubs, with a proper restaurant and maybe even a couple B&B rooms!? Try it out, but the Quarry is better! anonymous - 12 Mar 2007 17:49 |
