Beware a notice outside this pub says:- "One ale of a real pub-regular guest ales" What do we have inside = Bass, Courage Best and Youngs BB from the 3 hand pulls. Now this is only a small bar so to get to it I had to squeeze between a couple of right tw@ts who have their newspapers spread out over it. Usual suspect fizz drinkers. A TV was showing some kind of music channel turned up quite loud. I had a pint of the Youngs which was ok and cost £3.30 bjbrummiejohn - 29 Jul 2013 08:38 |
Open again! Seems to be OK and looks like it'll be open for a while. Strange pub, quite large outside but small inside - I don't think Doctor Who will be impressed! The do have usual John Smiths etc BUT to be fair they do have at least one real ale on (Butcombe last time I visited) which is changed on a weekly basis - usually changing on a Friday night so it gets used up over the weekend. Friendly enough place, attentive bar staff, small car park, a place you think has potential to do better if it continues as it is now. pedalandapint - 31 Mar 2009 20:07 |
