This used to be called the Kimberley Hotel, which is still visible set in the stonework outside. It was turned into an Irish themed pub back in the eighties when this was the fashion. It has little to do with Ireland and is a one bar smallish corner pub which has regular live music. No real ale, strictly lager sort of place, but the Guinness was good. ridleyman - 2 Jul 2016 17:44 |
I was pretty ambivalent about this place but Mrs BB didn't like it. I think that was more to do with a couple dodgy looking people who looked really miserable being in there than anything else. It's okay for a quick pint. BLACKTHORN.BRISTOL - 2 Sep 2012 14:35 |
good atmosphere but not such good drinks. eldavies - 17 Aug 2011 11:36 |
One of a few pubs that actually had anybody in during midweek. Friendly pub with entertainment on most nights we were there. muzzyofrotherham - 14 Aug 2009 19:17 |
Nancy did run this pub about 6 years ago! Finn's is an ok place to go if you want somewhere quiet or fancy a hot chocolate during the day in the winter. There's not much atmosphere but if you go with friends you can create your own. Good place to start drinkign if you're moving onto somewhere else. stripytiger - 21 Jun 2006 03:10 |
