The first of 2 Prince of Wales pubs I was to visit yesterday. This one is in Clapham on one side of the Common. It looks quite trendy from the outside. But I wasn't quite prepared for the interior, which is absolutely crammed full of bric-a-brac hanging from the walls and ceiling. Ales were Longman American Pale Ale, Sambrooks Pumphous Pale & Harveys Sussex Best Bitter. Ciders were both from Millwhites - Rum Cask & Blackberry Blush. Certainly one of the best 3 pubs of the day. I think it's the first time I've visited 2 pubs in a row that both had working sets of traffic lights in (I'm fairly sure there was one in my previous pub -the Craft, Brixton too)! Well worth a visit.

Lovely pub this one. Lovely guinness and staff. Worth a visit if in old town.
Great pub. Nice selection of beers. Nice atmosphere. Very old school.
One of the best pubs in Clapham I reckon. It saves itself from turning into what Clapham has become of late - moneyed, self-satisfied and dull.
All is needed is for the manageress to smile a bit more and maybe make you feel a bit more welcome on a Saturday afternoon instead of grunting at you and basically making you feel unwelcome, such a shame because the pub itself is a jewel and always has been..
What a wonderful little place to spend the dying Indian summers evening getting pissed on Pimms. The scrumptious proprietress of this rather unusually decorated establishment prides herself on her full works jugs and the Pimms is rather good too. Absolutely scrumptious ;-)

Great pub opposite The Sun in Clapham Old Town which is commonly too crowded in weekends. Brilliant interior full of a myriad of random objects that can keep you entertained for hours.
The only real local pub in Clapham! Friendly, quirky and great staff with the best bloody mary's for saturday recoveries from the night before. Its a great place to book for parties, they even let you bring your own food or order in take away from the surrounding area. They are also known for their real ales, not a preference of mine, but the rugby player deliver man is rather pleasant.
A bit gloomy inside with plenty of memorabilia on the walls (some of it a bit odd!)
Decent real ale from small London breweries on offer, a decent place for a pint and a chat.
Quirky pub...lots of "artistic or ironic objects" hanging from the walls and ceiling...interesting at first but some of it verges on tat. Rather gloomy and cold inside, on my visit. 3 real ales, reasonable condition. Efficient staff but not particularly welcoming. OK, but I would expect there must be better nearby.

One of those 'decorate the walls with the passage of time' pubs, which although quaint, can be give or take depending on your mood...
Was a nice visit on a Saturday afternoon. Bit small but worth a pop in.
A rare find of individuality in the parish of Clapham. A little gloomy in the inside maybe but comfortable enough with Harveys on tap which is always a winner.
As already alluded to, a collection of items that Steptoe would be proud of hang from the ceiling....
But decent enough.

Got lots of good memories of this place. Long Saturday afternoons idled away. Gets busy in the evenings.
Eccentric pub with some real ale. Infinitely superior to the nearby Sun but not quite as good as Rose and Crown.
No this is a pretty decent pub. there are 3 ales on and loads of clutter like artificial legs hanging off the ceiling Brilliant, except it's in Clapham,
It's different - and in these days of increasing pub blandness and uniformity, that can't be a bad thing. I enjoyed looking at all the various paraphernalia - very interesting. We don't all want to drink in All Bar One clone pubs. Worth visiting if in the area
another nothing to shout about bar set in the old town, the sort of bar that one would not take the walk across the common to visit, dark dingy interior, as described earlier all sorts of paraphernalia hanging from the dusty ceiling, gives one the feeling of being on the set of Steptoe and son, i mean a rickshaw dangling precariously above ones head, why?. Hoegaarden was OK once we raised the bar girl from our side of the bar and out of her daily mirror. to sum up, a pub to turn into if you are passing but don't wear the leather out of your shoes to visit.
Not a bad old fashioned boozer its worth having a couple of beers once in a while.
Slightly bonkers looking pub. Always very busy, but worth going into.
Been going to this pub off and on for many a year, still the same old interior ,beer ok though.Trendy enough for this part of Old Town. Will always come back.

It was good. Rubbish exterior interesting nick nack interior easy to get served. Good stuff on the pumps too. small.
Now known as the POW POW POW, they seem to have refurbished the sign outside but it still has all the tack on the walls and ceiling. Very quirky. Definitely worth a visit.
Weird pub - very different, what with all the paraphernalia hanging from the ceiling. Unique - well worth visiting just for its curiousity value As a previous contributor rightly says " none of this All Bar One....( etc) " mallarkey
My visit was very disapointing. very unfriendly bar staff, the pub was dirty and dusty. This pubs need a refurbishment and new bar staff. Its so 60's and could be a gem of a place if it was updated with care PL 3.11.04

As a pub should be - unique. None of this All bar one/Oneals/wooden mock up malarki. Good place to sit for a pint with mates that turns into 3or4.
Fun decor too.

One of the weirdest pubs you'll ever go to. Bikes, Inflatables and typewriters hanging from the ceiling, Roy Of The Rovers on the door to the gents. Well worth a visit.
