I regret to say this pub is no longer there. I was passing this morning and noticed It's been turned into a "Utility broker's." No I'm not sure what one of those is either, but it certainly doesn't sell beer. Pity. Was quite a pleasant little place.

I went in here late on Saturday evening on the way to the tube station. Quite nice inside. We ordered the only real ale available which was Westerham's Grasshopper but this was off. However this was replaced immediately by an alternative (we chose Staropramen) with no quibbles. We didn't eat.

Stopped in here for brunch at the weekend and was pleasently suprised with the whole operation. The bar has lots of big comfortable sofas and is bright and airy. The staff looked after us very well and the food was top notch. I can see this being a regular haunt for us.

This is our nearest pub, so I wish it were better. Nothing wrong with it as such, just lacks any character. Always feels a bit empty and cavernous when I go in there, think it needs a bit of cosy-ing up. Staff are ok, but not brimming with any enthusiasm and like most pubs in Ealing ought to watch the short measures. Food is a bit ambitious but mediocre, especially for the price. On the upside Steve hosts a good quiz twice a week and the garden area out front is nice.

This pub looks a bit 'shopping centre-y' from the outside but is actually rather nice inside.
Clean, decent food, real ales and a good range of wines/lagers/ciders. It has a small garden too.

Having had a shocking meal in the pub next door, this place is a gem. The food is fresh and cooked so well and the menu always interesting. Sunday lunch goes down so well here and the atmosphere leaves you wanting to stay all afternoon!!

Loving the garden here in the good weather. A stones throw away from the tube with little else to impress in the area. Can't fault the service and the beer's well kept.

This pub seems a bit underrated to me. We went in on a Sunday evening after a long country walk, looking for a couple of pints to soothe our aching feet. We would have liked the Bombardier, only it was off, but the Deuchars IPA and Theakston's XB were perfectly decent substitutes. It was quiet, comfortable and although we didn't eat, the menu looked good. Not a standout pub but nothing to complain about either

Very suprised to read these comments - I had a great time there on Thursday night. Friendly chap behind the bar and a good selection of drinks. No reason not to go there again. Maybe it's new management?

After visiting the North Star, what a contrast!.Looks like they've given up with this place. Nice garden, but so sruffy, nice bar, but so tired, one real ale, run out of Kronenbourg blanc, poor selection of spirits and the most boring quiz I have ever entered. Competition is strong, this bar is not good.

This is a strange one for me to rate as the beer is pretty bad, the food is pretty bad the inside decor is really in need of a refurb but I've been in here loads of time!! On a positive note, for Ealing Broadway it's actually quite a nice place to sit outside in the summer.

The music quiz is still on on Tuesday nights. Quizmaster's a nice chap, even though we did appallingly!!!
Beer's a bit pricey though and not a great atmosphere in there.

Went for a pint recently.. Kronenbourg Blanc... 3.95 a pint and served totally flat albeit in the correct glass. It should be with a head hence the water jet on the pump!)
|
Nicely situated pub although at the moment dominated by the football - like many other pubs it has a football-related ale (Playmaker) and a large screen on which I watched Ukraine's world cup hopes come to an end. A small front terrace secluded (haven-like) from the outside world and especially so from the bustle of Ealing Broadway.
|
Sunday lunchtime.
Watched people wander back up to the bar and complain about the food. Frozen Yorkshire puds and uncooked potatoes. Hardly inspring...
Bar staff taking the flack and the manager not really around.

Not bad for a few pints in the summer when you can make use of the terrace at the front which is pretty nice. Otherwise it's nothing particularly special, though not too bad either for a quick pint.
|
Just wondered if anyone knew if they are still doing music quiz on Tuesday night? We went for the quiz a couple months back but it wasn't on.
|
Used to have a good Jazz band playing on Friday's. Food is average and sometimes it gets quite smokey as well as too loud. Nice little front terrace in summer. Reccomend to go at least once to make up your own idea!
|
This place is ok.... quiz nights on saturday.
|
Waited an hour and half for a plate of crusty natchos and a bowl of greasy potato peelings (literally) which were described as 'potato skins'. We were so looking forward to lunch there as it was such a beautiful day, but we came away so disappointed that we don't want to go back there again.

What used to be a great back-street pub ruined by stripping-out to the pont of blandness and too many hooray Henrietta's.
