I regret to say this pub is no longer there. I was passing this morning and noticed It's been turned into a "Utility broker's." No I'm not sure what one of those is either, but it certainly doesn't sell beer. Pity. Was quite a pleasant little place. Royed - 11 Nov 2011 12:49 |
I went in here late on Saturday evening on the way to the tube station. Quite nice inside. We ordered the only real ale available which was Westerham's Grasshopper but this was off. However this was replaced immediately by an alternative (we chose Staropramen) with no quibbles. We didn't eat. jm_creighton - 4 Jul 2010 17:16 |
Stopped in here for brunch at the weekend and was pleasently suprised with the whole operation. The bar has lots of big comfortable sofas and is bright and airy. The staff looked after us very well and the food was top notch. I can see this being a regular haunt for us. Donna_M - 15 Oct 2009 12:33 |
This is our nearest pub, so I wish it were better. Nothing wrong with it as such, just lacks any character. Always feels a bit empty and cavernous when I go in there, think it needs a bit of cosy-ing up. Staff are ok, but not brimming with any enthusiasm and like most pubs in Ealing ought to watch the short measures. Food is a bit ambitious but mediocre, especially for the price. On the upside Steve hosts a good quiz twice a week and the garden area out front is nice. sopharelli - 17 Mar 2009 16:38 |
