Cracking pub, fantastic location. Whilst some parts of Cornwall get overrun, Coverack always feels a romantic 'lost' soul' from an earlier age... Proper Job, Tribute and a Bath ales beer, but I settled for a nice St.Austell best bitter.. Food looked good as well.. Take the time to walk to meers beach... (Porthbeer).

Went to Coverack hoping to buy takeaway fish and chips at the nearby Lifeboat House which was unexpectedly closed so ended up getting the same meal from the Paris Hotel with the added bonus of a decent pint while we waited! Trelawny, Proper Job and Tribute were the beers on sale in this St Austell house. The dining room overlooking the sea was very busy, everyone no doubt enchanted by the Edwardian appeal of the place. Will add Coverack to the list of destinations to visit again one day.

Named after a shipwreck, the Paris still retains the charm of an earlier age, with a pleasant ambience and reasonably priced good value eats. Fortunately has not been gentrified into an aspirational destination........yet. Stopped for a mid aftenoon livener in the beer garden with a pint of Trelawney (£3.25) while enjoying the view. Well impressed and returned for an excellent evening meal the following day. Beer price at the high end but alas, with the nearby Lifeboat House now closed for the season, no competition puts a pint of Proper Job at £3.40. With a warm welcome and excellent service on offer, you will not be disappointed.

Had a few days down there and popped in a couple of times, but couldn't get very excited about it and wished there was another pub I could try, but its the only one around. However, on my last night there I had an absolutely 1st class fish dish (sorry, can't remember exactly what) but it was a bit of a shock after the previous couple of days!

A flying visit this week...they had the superb Tribute Extra on, apparantly the brewery only make one batch each year, they snapped up 14 barrels...5 have now gone!! The food and more importantly the range of St Austell beers were magnificent!!

Gets a high rating for its enviable position in my new favorite location..... Coverack, the home of honesty parking and dog friendly beaches. If its too hot, cold or rainy just pop up here for shelter. A couple of the best beers i had all week in cornwall.....

Just spent a week In Coverack, and visited the Paris on more than one occasion! The staff were friendly, and attentive. The Wreckers Ale was superb, as was the HSD!..The food was pretty good as well. Bearing in mind it was Easter wekend, and the pub was very busy, the service was excellent! with the carvery averaging a 100+ per week, it cant be that bad!!!

Having took a party of 8 last weekend, all I can say is who runs the place. In my opinion no one. After a long walk to get therea all required was a few drinks and a sandwich. What a shambles, a crab sandwich 8.00 plus was with the cheapest marg available, tortilla chips were stale, no dressing either on the garnish or sandwich, the crab was tastless so must have been frozen and defrosted in a hurry. The staff and I can only presume the Landlord do not give a monkeys. Two of the party had the carvery, over cooked meat veg that must have been on for days, gravy like water. The whole place was filthy, tables sticky and unkempt. I will not return and recommend likewise, such a shame was a great place, but alas now NOT. PLEASE CHANGE TO NEW OWNERS ASAP

I had what I can only call a humiliating experience in this pub. I went in and asked the young barman what their cask beers were and he shook his head and laughed at me before turning around and walking away (without saying a word). He had what I imagine were friends at a table near the bar who doubled over at the scene and I was left with nothing to do but leave. I can only presume my colorful shirt and accent along with the idiocy of the barman triggered the immature reaction. I left.

Love this pub! The staff are very welcoming, the HSD is excellent, the food is good too.
The views from the dining room are fantastic.
We have been visiting Coverack for a number of years, and Ian and his crew are the best!

Having eaten at The Witchball on The Lizard the night before the Paris had some stiff competition. It was awful!! The gorgonzola and cauliflower soup tasted like sour milk and even though we sent it back we were still charged for it. The fish was obviously not fresh as my daughter's fish was rubbery and tasteless. I had the monkfish special which was tasteless and tough. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant on a Thursday night which said a lot. Bearing in mind it was the most expensive meal on our holiday in Cornwall it was definitely not worth the visit.

Nice local pub downhill from the youth hostel (as they so often are). Met a German who had ridden his motorbike there from Germany. It was a good place to be and by the sea.

The only pub in Coverack! A typical cornish house, with a theme based on ships and particularly the Paris, a ship wrecked on the coast nearby.
Beer quality good and average prices. Now a St Austell house, I think.
Food quite good, too, and not badly priced.
Gets quite busy, need to book for food.
