Paris Hotel, Coverack

Having took a party of 8 last weekend, all I can say is who runs the place. In my opinion no one. After a long walk to get therea all required was a few drinks and a sandwich. What a shambles, a crab sandwich �8.00 plus was with the cheapest marg available, tortilla chips were stale, no dressing either on the garnish or sandwich, the crab was tastless so must have been frozen and defrosted in a hurry. The staff and I can only presume the Landlord do not give a monkeys. Two of the party had the carvery, over cooked meat veg that must have been on for days, gravy like water. The whole place was filthy, tables sticky and unkempt. I will not return and recommend likewise, such a shame was a great place, but alas now NOT. PLEASE CHANGE TO NEW OWNERS ASAP

The Spotted Dog, Penshurst

I took the advice of phebs and decided to give the pub another try, so booked a table for my family on Mothers day. What a disaster this turned out to be. Firstly no one seemed to know what they were doing, we had to wait just over an hour for our pre-booked table, when a table became free we were seated, then the food was of a poor quality. On complaining we were offered a refund, which I discovered on leaving that we were not the only ones who complained bitterly and were refunded. I will not return, such a shame to a once great pub
