went there last night to watch the footy after traipsing round Lordship Lane trying to find somewhere decent to watch it - to no avail. They've got a huge screen and lots of other screens in good viewing areas. The staff are friendly and quick AND it was much cheaper than the other bars. Another added bonus - a pool table - you don't see that very often now. The locals were all very friendly with lots of banter flying about. Shall definitely go back. Oh and no pram pushers to be seen.

Spent a day out around Dulwich today with the family, and popped in this pub , only to find it was being refurbished ... must say looking good inside, the builders told me that it would be re opening on the 10th July, invited to the opening with the family, so will be coming back to Dulwich to see the finished article.

It serves beer and shows football. How many pubs do that in Dulwich anymore? Also has some of the best bar service I've ever witnessed - minimal waiting and they always remember your drink. Regulars are friendly. A bit run down but it is currently being refurbished.

the theme from "deliverance" strikes a chord in here as i enter. 8 sets of beer-fuddled eyes turn and look. I ask for a guinness and and am asked where I am from "as if it matters". " Dont be nosey" was the answer. I came in for a beer , not a geography quiz. funnily enough all eyes turned away and left me to my guinness and newspaper. guinness was average, have had better, pub was in dire need of cleaning. wont return but am very rarely in dulwich

Best pub in East Dulwich! Frequented by the type of regular that have been driven away from trendy Lordship Lane. Cheaper than Lordship Lane. No frills. A proper old skool boozer.

Irish pub that`s truely Irish! there`s some very friendly people in here however the music may go silent and all heads turn to you if youre not a regular. try it, you might like it. pool. Irish bands too if you`re lucky.

Good trad boozer, real beer, real staff, pool table, dart board, and a dog who drinks guiness out of an ashtry (of course!). Much nicer than the nearby nasty Crystal Palace Tavern and the totally awful Goose and Granite
