Like ButchEgg, we stumbled upon this pub by chance.
The pub is a bit like a Tardis; it's a lot bigger inside than you would think from the outside.
The bacon and tomato baguette (it was a lunch-time visit) was really good, as was my pint of Wherry.
Would certainly not be averse to calling in again. Well worth a visit.

Stumbled upon this pub by chance looking for refreshments on the way to North Norfolk. Right by part of the Broads hence the name. The pub is a haven of large rooms with a bar at the front giving the feel of a clubhouse. Whilst this put me off at first I then tried a half of Adnams Ghostship. This, to me, was a perfect pint. I don't usually drink on long journeys but I had to have a pint of this and it was superb.
Followed it with the steak pie which went down very well - a nice large portion - not a stew in a dish. My wife stuck to her salad.
An unusual setting for a pub - not exactly in the country as it's surrounded by similar buildings giving the feel of a industrial unit. But if you can forgive that, then it's definately worth the visit.

This pub has now reopened under new management, and is in much better condition than the previous owners kept it (there is still some on-going improvement work, and from chatting with the barman it has taken a lot of work already!)

I reckon it could be a nice place to visit over the summer months, the beer is good (I made sure to sample what they have at present, with more due on the way), the food is coming together (they are in the process of finishing the kitchen refit), and hopefully, if more people visit the place, the atmosphere will improve greatly.

I'm going to give it a 7 rating for now, as they have only just opened, however it seemed very positive on my visit, and I think that could improve over the coming weeks and months!

Do yourself a favour, keep walking North and you will encounter
The Falgate Inn, a proper pub selling proper beer and food.

The Broads Haven Tavern Nah!! forget it. in simple English

"it's crap"

Yes. This is one 10 minute walk that you will never regret. Leaving the Broadshaven Tavern behind, steer your way past Lathams, heading north and you will soon encounter The Falgate (Arms ?)

There's a delightful "real" pub a short distance up the lane to the north - possibly in the next village or the older part of Potter. Can't remember the name, unfortunately. Probably no more than ten minutes' walk from the Broads Haven.

visiting this pub as a child i have some good memories as we spent many a holiday in potter heigham, however, visiting the pub now leaves a sour taste in the mouth. You are met by an unfriendly landlord and lady who are interested solely in the cash you will spend knowing they are in an ideal spot but not prepared to work on bringing the customers in. The decor if you can call it that leaves a lot to be desired and in the right hands with a little effort the place could be a little goldmine. In the 8 or 9 years they have been running the pub the owners have managed to drive away most of the locals and I know the remaining ones only attend as the location is convenient. Its a shame the bridge pub which burnt down a few years ago has not been rebuilt as it was a much better place to be!!!!

This is quite possibly the worst pub in Great Britain ( I know I haven't visited them all but I am still very confident) This pub could be fantastic considering it's location right by the river. Instead it is a 1970's throw back! The place is fitted out with office furniture in the main bar and has zero personality with very clicky locals. The restaurant was closed as we visited on a Sunday Night but have a feeling we had a lucky escape!! The games room (if you can call it that) had Wimpy style table and chairs set in concrete to the floor. I found it quite amusing that the place is covered in Fosters logos has 3 Fosters pumps and the barman was wearing a Fosters T-Shirt but got told that he had no Fosters!! I did however notice that the machine in Gents sells herbal Viagra but to be honest if you are planning on using it with one of the locals then I can assure you that you have had far too much to drink and it is time to go home!!!!!!

Rubbish pub, no real ale just lager. Food menu looked like something from the '70s but can't comment as I didn't see anyone eating here. Only reason I went in was because I had to wait somewhere until our boat was ready.
It's a shame really because the pub is in a beautiful location - on the river bank next to the old bridge at Potter Heigham.
