The Woolpack, Elstead

We visited this pub for lunch today. The food was absolutely fantastic and the Green Thai Curry is the best I have had. The staff were extremely welcoming to both us and our children, which to be honest is so refreshing these days. It has a lovely atmosphere and a very well kept garden. After seeing other peoples food arriving before ours we cannot wait to return to try other dishes from the menu (apparently they have a new chef). The prices were very reasonable and the kids ate for free under there current promotion. Would reccomend to all!!!

The Ferry Inn, Horning

Fantastic pub!! Ideal for families as has kids amusements in a seperate room. Food was fantastic on both occasions that we visited! Staff were great with excellent personalities (Especially Shane) Good selection of beer and wines on offer. Fantastic location with plenty of moorings. If you are going to Horning by boat then this is definately the best place to stop.

Broads Haven Tavern, Potter Heigham

This is quite possibly the worst pub in Great Britain ( I know I haven't visited them all but I am still very confident) This pub could be fantastic considering it's location right by the river. Instead it is a 1970's throw back! The place is fitted out with office furniture in the main bar and has zero personality with very clicky locals. The restaurant was closed as we visited on a Sunday Night but have a feeling we had a lucky escape!! The games room (if you can call it that) had Wimpy style table and chairs set in concrete to the floor. I found it quite amusing that the place is covered in Fosters logos has 3 Fosters pumps and the barman was wearing a Fosters T-Shirt but got told that he had no Fosters!! I did however notice that the machine in Gents sells herbal Viagra but to be honest if you are planning on using it with one of the locals then I can assure you that you have had far too much to drink and it is time to go home!!!!!!
