The White Lion is the best pub in Bridgnorth, in my opinion. Hop & Stagger beers are brewed on the premises. They had Beckbury Bitter, Golden Wander, Shropshire Pale Ale & Gyle 311 from the brewery. Guests were Pardoe's Dark Swan, Castle Rock Sherwood Stout & Fuller's Botanist's Batch. In addition, there were 3 real ciders - Broadoak Moonshine, Thatcher's Stan's Big Apple & Cock Eyed Mad Jack. There are two rooms and an outdoor area. The front room had some nice murals on the walls. Service was friendly. A really decent pub, in which I would have happily spent much longer, if I didn't have others to go to!

Nice little pub that now brews its own beers under the Hop and Stagger label. The triple hop IPA was very good.

Nice pub put sells shockingly short measures. The way the barman pours them with a really fast action means that when they settle they are about 10-15% short of the correct measure. And he scarpers when you hang around to get top ups.

My partner and I dropped in here for a couple of pints on a recent trip to Bridgnorth. Good selection of real ales including ones they brew themselves at the "Hop & Stagger" brewery, Simpson's Original Hop & Stagger Golden Wander. Good atmosphere, decor looks like something from years ago but this is good in the context of the pub. Well worth a visit.

Excellent pub with friendly staff serving its own beer (Hop & Stagger) and ales from other breweries. Sunny beer garden and fantastic, home-made scotch eggs. Highly recommended.

Friendly, welcoming pub with a comfy feel. They had a number of lovely ales on (though through a sparkler - ugh!). Friendly staff and a welcome retreat on a cold day. Well worth a visit.

Nice looking, busy pub with a good feel to it. 2 of their own ales on tap,one excellent, the other a little bland but that was compared to Salopian Lemon Dream which my partner rated her beer of the weekend. Definitely worth a visit.

Busy friendly 18th century pub with brewery in back yard. I had a fine pint of Ma Pardoe's bitter and an excellent cheese and onion cob. Noted for the wall murals.

decent pub range of 4 or 5 realales in good condition they had a mini ale festival in the back yard on our visit, but not one dark real ale on .

Sometimes, there is no justice in the world. If only I'd known about this pub earlier I would have gone to Bridgnorth by Public Transport rather than driving from Hampshire. (& No I didn't go to Bridgnorth just for a pub crawl!)
Even allowing for the fact there was a beer festival there this weekend the selection was immense with the Salopian Lemon Dream well worth the trip on its own.
Staff friendly and knowledgeable and the food looked fairly well priced (for a change).
If in Salopia - A must visit.

This is a very nice, traditional pub with cosy seating near the main entrance, dartboard, and a nice side alley with seating and a garden with chickens in a pen! I had a pint of the Blue Monkey Original (3.6%) which was in superb condition. Friendly regulars and staff. Highly reccomended.

Neat looking Georgian styled pub, with the wood beam, coloured but plain walled interior. The girl behind the bar was friendly and the place comfotable and clean.
The beer saw Titanic MILD, St Austell Tribute, Oakham Inferno and White Horse Wayland Smithy. Opinion was divided on the Titanic, i liked it JB didnt.
All in all, i liked this place and would return here at any opportunity

Mine host took the pub over about 18 months ago, and serves a variety of locally brewed beers in tip top condition. In discussions last Saturday night with said host by one of my drinking companions, I seem to recollect being told that this is no longer a Banks tied pub. But I may be wrong, as I was on my eighth pint of the day.

Always a very nice pub. Changed hads about 12 months ago. Busy place. Beers wise; Banks 'Bitter and Original' as well as Wye Valley 'Butty Bach', St Austell 'Tribute' and Ironbridge '1779'. I drank the Ironbridge which was a new beer for me but I highly recommended it to all. Along with the pub which is easy to reach from the SVR station, just go over the footbridge and turn left and its up the hill on the left hand side before you reach the town centre.
