The Hinton Arms, Cheriton

Very expensive beer. The major problem was the Sunday "roast", at �11 one expects a certain qaulity, but the roast porkt consisted of wafer thin reheated slices of "pork" in a tasteless gravy. Very poor indeed and I would avoid this pub for food.

The Kings Arms Hotel, Bicester

I was a barman here in 1971 after leaving school! If you think the beer is below par now, in those day it was the dreaded Watneys Red Barrel!! The following year I was a waiter in the restaurant. I once managed to drop some potatoes into the lap of a racing driver, who was staying at the hotel, whilst racing at Silverstone.
