This pub could be easily missed if you stick to the main area of the town, but it is certainly worth seeking out and is only just off the main street.
A one bar freehouse with a quirky selection of rooms and outside space where one can enjoy food a beer and cider kept to a very high degree. At time of visit had four ales on tap including a stout and lighter beers, all served with a smile by a pleasant barmaid who new her stuff. Very relaxed atmosphere with a mixture of locals and families.
Well worth seeking out.

Good multi level pub withgreat views and a sensible beer range; my half of Black Rock got better and better. Not the busiest in Falmouth but worth GBG place.

Nice bright interior and was served promptly. The girl behind the bar was happy enough to take a picture of me with my camera outside the pub so can't fault the friendliness of the staff. No problems here. Nice pub. Doesn't appear to open until 4pm though which is strange.

Lovely location and good selction of beers, especially pleased to see Budvar Dark on draught.

Superb pub full of atmosphere, great selection of drinks across the board and a cracking menu to boot. Was there on Saturday for a few drinks and a portion of calamari and was, as ever, sad to leave. One not to miss!

Awesome pub! Great drinks selection, top ales, beautiful view, fit bar maids and a sound gaffa!

Cracking pub, for quite a few reasons. At the basic level, the drinks are good, whether it's local real ales or a properly poured Guinness and they usually have a couple of good quality lagers, too. Very decent selection of malt whiskies, to top it off. The staff are welcoming and enjoy a bit of banter, while the clientele is a relaxed mix of old 'uns, young 'uns, families and most things in between. The menu features plenty of fresh, local seafood and the views from the big balcony are, as many others have pointed out, simply killer. I repeat - cracking pub.

Really friendly atmosphere at The Boathouse. All the staff are great and will come and chat on the quieter evenings. Great selection of cask ales and beers on tap. Just an overall really great pub - definitely the best place to go for a drink in Falmouth.

What a great pub, possibly the best in Falmouth. Decent ales, although I started with a jug of Pimms, Decent food and a view over Flushing to die for (when it wasn't raining) See you next time.

found myself hypnotised by the amazing vista from this friendly quirky little pub. a fine ale in hand, steaming bowl of local mussels, chatty staff, never left, what a find,a real gem in falmouths crown.

Staff are very pleasant, have always got time for a chat and you feel like they remember you without you having to drink there everyday for a decade, ales are always on form, mad mix of folk and that view could hypnotise a bat!

Real beer, real fire, real food, great music thanks to Nick's wonderfully diverse taste - no boring jukebox is required, best view in Falmouth, and a proper independent Cornish pub unlike the nasty corporate chain pubs that are creeping into the town selling dogy beer and nuking their customers with wifi, so for the sensitive souls amongst you look no futher.

It took a couple of evenings to discover this gem during our brief stay in Falmouth but once we had we returned for a second evening. Amongst the other venues within the centre of Falmouth we both rated the Boathouse very highly for its good food, good beer, charm, views over the estuary, and the very friendly atmosphere, staff and landlord Nick.

Went there - liked it - will visit it again if allowed by the trouble & strife. Great pub, nice fruitie.

Got stuck in here one wintery afternoon last august, drank the pumps left to right and wasn't once let down. I've heard the new ownership is from Brighton, wears dodgy shirts and sells the best shellfish in Devon, we'll be back.

Attractive pub, unusually shaped rooms, balconies with a wonderful view over Carrick Roads. Some good beer when I was there.
