Dead as. Boarded up. I guess it'll become flats now. Sad to see any pub close but to be honest The Goldhawk was up itself, often dodgy quality beer, poor atmosphere, intended merely for the beautiful young people with fixed gear bikes and happy to pay through the nose. Joins the Stinging Nettle and Grand Union in the list of pretentious-rubbish-thought-they-were-so-clever pubs now dead in Goldhawk Road.

The Goldhawk continues to go downhill. A very popular pre-football pub on a Saturday, but they can't get the simple things right, like having enough bar staff on at busy times, and keeping the ales properly. On a recent visit, all the beers tasted off, and most of the staff were being coached in how to pull a pint, and this was at a buy time on a Saturday lunchtime. Disaster. A shame because it's well situated and spacious, but that potential is all going to waste.

Omg ,visited this place last Saturday as visiting a friend in the bush, what a dump ....blaring music, loads of pissed up idiots, dirty ,crap beer and there was no nice way to describe the toilets. Service was the worst ive had in ages, bored sullen staff and forever to get served, we left and went up to the stinging nettle.

Such a shame to see what used to be a great pub go down hill! We have been frequent visitors to the Goldhawk, particularly for their great vegetarian Sunday roast and chilled out friendly staff. Went yesterday for the first time in a couple of months and will not be returning again. Staff have changed and they all looked miserable and like they couldnt give a toss. Was told there had been 4 changes in management in the last 6 months - it shows! The menu has been totally changed for the worse, half of our order ended up being refunded with a casual and insincere apology as the soup was cold, other items were not as described on the menu and there was a big thick black hair in my pie - after waiting 10 minutes for the replacement pie I was told that they had run out of them so I ended up going hungry while the rest of my party finished their meals and swiftly moved on the The Stinging Nettle down the road which was much better!

Humm.... not great. When ordering food I felt like some kind of freak because I asked for the vegetarian choices. I ordered a meditterean pie which came with chips, carrots and green beans. However the carrots and green beans were covered in meat gravy. Hint guys - if someone orders a vegetarian meal it may because they don't eat meat!

went in there a little bit pissed and had a run in with a very rude polski barmaid. its a mugs pub and does a great job at that

Went there for the first time last night after meaning to go in for a while now.
The interior is cool with the couches/chairs being mismatched together and there are pictures of rockstars from yesteryear all over the walls. The music being played at 5pm was perfect for this environment.
I was drinking very good Spitfire but then finished with a Kuppers Kolsch; which I'd never had before but really enjoyed.
There were some decent choices on the menu and our food was tasty and came out quickly.
The staff were friendly.
All in all, it was a pleasurable experience!

Not quite sure why this place is listed twice. Anyway...
Popped in last night before watching Plymouth lose at QPR and found the place busy, but not objectively so.
Didn't bother with the food, but enjoyed a pint or three of Landlord. Tasted decent, but at 3.40 per pint I would expect it to do so.
Like the interior and the beer selection seemed pretty good. Top marks for service too, as the staff were very attentive and service was quick whenever I went to the bar, plus tables were cleared of empties quickly.
An oasis in what is generally a poor area for boozers.

Beer good. Food - nothing short of disgraceful.
I ordered a burger from here and told the barman that I did not want cheese, said burger came 10-15 minutes later with cheese on.
No problem, I took it back and explained to the barman. No more than 2 minutes later a burger arrived! A bit funny I thought - upon looking at the burger the chef had simply tried to scrape off the cheese rather than cook me a new one.

Not bad & seems to be getting better each time i visit. kuppers kolsch on tap is no bad thing.

Popped in on a quiet Thursday night. Pleasant decor - seats big and comfy. Well, yes the decoration style is rather 50's coffee bar which i found rather comforting. Will definitely come back.

Good pub, staff friendly enough and beer selection 7/10. The interior design is a bit random - lots of different styles of furniture/decor make it feel a bit like an antiques auction sometimes. Great food...

This is a very nice pub, with a nice atmosphere but not very busy which is not a bad as you can always get a seat and talk. They have not got a bad selection of beers although it could be better

Pleasant atmosphere, excellent beer and welcoming staff, however seems to be some ambiguity about closing time,

Love the goldhawk. Nice mix of people. Great food menu, good ales and beers. Very good quiz on the Sunday (not too intellectual), which has a good social atmosphere. They have had a bit of a referb since I was here last, the toilets have been done up a treat. Apart from the garden it is looking much better than The Eagle!
currently, only downside: the front door needs to be fixed. It make an almighty banging noise every time it closes. It is very very annoying!
