We were served some very vinegary Marstons last Friday, which we didn't drink.

Just to let you know that this pub is now under new management. Paul is doing a great job. Great news for Kenilworth

not impressed barman tells me might be up for sale, pity for locals.

Average sort of pub. This is a Marstons establishment, so if offered Pedigree, Marstons Bitter and Jennings Cock a Hoop which was okay enough. The pub had a bit of a run down, musty smell, but the locals were fine. Nothing special but reasonable if you want a pint whilst passing through the town.

Not a bad pub. Every town should have a pub like this. I visited a 15.20 on a wednesday afternoon the front room of the bar had 12 over 50's drinking beer and watching the racing. The middle room had a couple of lads watching sky sports news and then 4 lad playing pool at the back. The beer was all from the marstons stable. Burton bridge bitter, Pedigree and the chrismas one 'Ugly sisters'. I had pedigree which I couldn't fault it was poured well, had a perfect head and kept its life right to the end. An honest local.

The Earl Of Clarendon is currently closed, but word has it that a re-opening is imminent.

Honest pub. The beer is ok. A typically town centre local!

Cardinal chunder has made a good synopsis, let me expand,
- pedigree - marstons bitter - garden and back room enlarged - tasty sort behind bar (of occasion) - watch out for a sniff of one of the carinals 'blowouts'

An honest boozer near the centre of town and a real boon for those who want to avoid the student rabble around that patch. The Stella and the Strongbow hit the spot but unfortunately there's not much on ale wise. Opens until about midnight and is ideally placed to head down the road for a curry blowout.
