The Tudor House Inn, Warwick

Just on the outskirts of town, the Tudor House Inn is probably my favourite pub in Warwick. Due to its lovely decor, and completely down to earth staff, it's an excellent pub to visit for a drink and a sit down next to the fire.

While its only a small place, with a moderately size d menu - The food is excellent.

Everything freshly prepared on site, made to order and clearly cooked by a caring chef - the menu suits the pub down to the ground. From Veggie Lasagne, Fish & Chips and grilled steaks - there is something for everyone.

Highly recommended.

The Unicorn, Warwick

Serving the Chase Meadow estate, the Unicorn is Marsdons answer to Ember Inns. Very similar in style and price, and a young set of staff.

Beer is of good quality, with a selection of cask ales - Wine list is pretty average.

Food is good value, but that's about where it ends. Ordering accuracy seems hit and miss, delivery times on the slow side, and most meals have been boiled in the bag, microwaved or thrown into s combo oven.

Don't get me wrong, its a decent pub for a drink and a quick bite - but don't expect too much more.

Oh, and it's always rammed on a Sunday.

The Jewellers Arms, Hockley

A firm fav for many of the lads in our office. The food is cheap, homecooked, and excellent.

And they serve a brilliant pint of Highgate Mild!
