Potentially 4 real ales on, although 3 had run out over the weekend. I went for the one remaining Hooky. And it was superb. Pub is nice enough for a one room open plan building. Would come back for the beer.

Called in here hoping to fine good ale and atmosphere. Not a real ale drinkers paradise. Most seem to be later drinkers. Ales limited and not great. Apparently the place is under new landlord, with the promise of music etc. Not a great experience.

Cracking place, New managers in, atmosphere is cool but friendly, no nonsense booze, tunes and soon decent snacks - no pretentious crap here, just a long awaited alternative to town centre drinking in Worcester.

Located a short walk from the cathedral, it is OK for a quick pint at the start or end of the evening but not much more.
Selection of foreign beer on draught and a couple of real ale... had the "doom bar" which was reasonable but nothing special.
Seems to be aiming for the more upmarket customer, the night we drank in there a Thursday had a large group of business people drinking champagne.

Beer is well kept, tidy if a little characterless but a good place to watch the sport over a good pint

Disregard the below review it was meant for the Cardinals Hat. The hand writing is pretty awful after a few pints.

Reports of a management change together with a different target consumer. This place is now big on continental largers of all types. It all adds to the variety found amongst Worcester pubs.

Very bright (not in a good way), PubCo feel and one of the only Pub's in Worcs where everyone seems to stare at you on your way in, unless your really a fan of the Hook Norton beers I think you'd be wasting your time.
|
Rather a soulless one-room town pub, but welcoming staff and locals. Spartan and lacking in soft furnishings. No food. Notable though as being the northernmost tied-house of Hook Norton. Range of Hooky beers well served.
|
Friendly pub serving Hook Norton Ales. Dog friendly and sport was showing on TV screen. Had a half of Hook Norton Flagship in good condition.
|
Friendly town pub serving Hook Norton Ales. Tried the Dark and Flagship, both excellent. Friendly staff and locals.
|
Friendly, clean pub with good beer. Doesn't do food apart from snacks that include ring-pull tins of olives, nuts etc. from a space-age dispenser. Five minutes walk from Foregate St station, and well worth it.
