Tatty and never felt comfortable in here. Prices are ok - but the sort of place where somebody would walk into you and then expect you to apologise....

This is a massive pub, which is, at best, sparsely populated by the local drunks and degenerates. The only thing to say for it is that at least it was built as a pub, which is a rarerity in WGC.

I feel very saddened when i go in the Peartree these days, the place is a wreck! this Pub deserves better. I don`t know who currently owns it but they need to spend some dosh on it fast or the place will become an other boarded up eyesore, architecturally the building needs to be saved hopefully as a Pub. With the new Chieftain open just down the road is this the final nail in the Peartree`s coffin ? I`ve lived in the Woodhall area for 50 years and have never seen the place looking so shabby.

Counting down the days until the chieftain reopens in feb 2011 and this sad excuse of a pub shuts down. Hopefully under 18's somewhere else to go to and fight.
|
No one goes in there and they charge 3.50 a pint!! Large garden but its covered in glass and fag butts. Pretty sure the man that sits at the bar all day is in fact dead.

THE PLACE TO BE if you're 14 or under.
