Now a Domino’s Pizza place I believe. Such a shame.

I miss this pub, used to have fantastic times there. Its a shame how management suffered at the hands of the authorities, this pub was not the worst, but was made out the be. Management always welcomed old and new customers. The Swan was the only place that represented the community. When one stands at The Swan today and look around the area there is nothing for the black community within Tottenham High Rd. Hope all those involved in the closure are now happy.

Closed and boarded up.

I attended 26th & 27th January 08, it was lovely and of course the food was lovely. I wonder as anyone ever thought of the implications of the closure of The Swan within the community? There could be a riot, as many will not have any where to go, except for those negative people who talk about yardie, what is a yardie? It is time people wake up and stop using those terms. SWAN MANAGEMENT YOU KEEP UP THE FIGHT AND DONT WATCH THE NEGATIVE PEOPLE, EVEN THOUGH WE ARE ENTITLED TO OUR OPINION.

I have read all the comments relating to The Swan, it seems such a shame that narrow minded people have such poor thoughts. Management can not be held responsible for the shooting of the young girl. No one has taken time to ask why did her parents allow her to be on the streets at that time? Look at all the crime that is happening in Haringey, will the police call for all venues to be closed? Where have the regular reports being published about The Swan? Probably Carl1982 was one of the trouble makers to The Swan and was thrown out by security with a comment like that. I am not ashamed to say as a white female I attend The Swan every weekend without fail, maybe some of you need to attend and see for yourselves instead of your negative remarks. I wonder if it were you in this position having your licence revoke and being in the media reading negative comments, knowing the fact that they are not true how would you feel? On a last note I hope management fights the police all the way and serve the community for another 26 years and do not let the likes of you people in. SWAN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORKS I HAVE ATTENDED MAY OF THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS AND WATCH SOME OF THE NARROW MINDED PEOPLE TAKING THE FREE FOOD HOME. WE ARE BEHIND YOU 100%

Thankfully this pub is being shut.

This pub is to close after its license was revoked, largely due to the shooting there last summer, but also due to regular reports of criminality on and around the premises.

Ended up here recently with a load of West Ham mates after a Spurs away game. All I can say is that it was like Rorkes Drift.

what I meant was crackhead hookers with black teeth taking care of bus drivers. Didn't some Yardie idiot shoot some poor young lady in there this year ? I must take my Mum there for lunch one day.

I celebrated my birthday at the Swan pub, management provided the food for me free of charge, which was well appreciated by my family, friends and guest.
A big thanks to management and staff, keep up the good works!!!!

I went to the Swan 9th September 2007, it was fantastic, a regular celebrated her birthday. Lots of free food throughout the celebrations. Live singers, everyone just mellowed and enjoyed themselves. Great I will be back next weekend 16th September as there is another birthday celebration for a regular punter. I must admit if this is your first time dont worry as everyone gets a warm welcom from the mc.

I go to this pub every week and I second the comment 16th April 2007, great portions of food given to everyone twice every Sunday. BBQ are free and I am talking real food!, not burgers! Company is great all are treated equally no matter your race. Keep up the good works

I go to this pub every week, especially Sundays when all are treated to an excellent Sunday dinner(FREE) around 5pm and later on in the evening, no small portions. All are treated equally no matter the race. About a couple of weeks ago Spurs fans were also given food, which they were amazed at the treatment given to them.
The music is great. I must point out that it is not only Jamaicans that go to this pub!.

Best pint of Guinness in Tottenham - mix 50/50 with Gold Label to blend in with locals. The place badly needs a lick of paint, but usually offers a warm welcome. Slightly crazy clientele, frequented mostly by elderly Jamaicans. Loud ska music often pumps from the speakers. Very often free food provided on sundays if you drink enough (rice & peas, etc). Go to the Swan if you want a 'different' night out away from the usual Tottenham crowd.

Situated next to the bus garage, the Swan is probably one of the most unwelcoming pubs that I have come across. The exterior is at best tatty and run down. Peeling paintwork, rotting wood and cracked windows greet the visitor and it is difficult to make out the interior through the half frosted windows. If you do feel brave enough to venture inside you will find the pub surprisingly light and airy with plain cream walls and dark patterned ceiling but the bar is unsightly with a plain ugly low canopy and the overall dcor is bland and boring. Dont expect an oasis of Ales standard kegs prevail. The drug warning notices says something about the potential customer base and most people only seem to be there to play on the 2 pool tables or hang around the doorway on their mobiles. The music will inevitably be pounding dub reggae from the large speakers. The fact that it doesnt even get busy on Spurs match days despite being the first pub on the walk from the tube to the ground suggests that this place is a bit out of bounds to all but the regulars.

Fantasic pub! It has got real character. A while ago there was a black lady behind the bar who looked like she was taken straight out of a 70's movie. Great!
