Illicit Still, Aberdeenback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Good fun being downstairs and everything, but there was no ale on by the time I got to the bar so I had to make do with John Smith's. Which, in this day and age, no one should have to do against their will, really.

A cavernous downstairs pub and probably an OK place to watch the fitba but really nothing special and only Thrappledouser among ales on tap. Friendly service and anice enough crowd in a pleasing city while the building has its merits.

The unusual, quirky layout is unfortunately the best thing about the Illicit Still. Beer, prices and service all serve to disappoint. Shame really, because this place does have some potential.

In agreement with the comments about this being a nice cosy place in the winter. Its hard to leave if it is snowing outside. Lots of twists and cubby spaces. Nice food aswell. Highly recommended.

Very cosy pub, expensive, but sometimes it's worth paying that little bit more.

quite like this place, especially as mentioned in the winter, very cosy bar.

I think the ratings are unfair, for Aberdeen it's a rather cosy place to have a drink and some decent enough food, very studenty but at least unlike many of the towns other bars it neither too oil rich pretentious or threatenly locals only.
A warm hole to refresh in winter.
